We are delighted to announce our upcoming recording of Beethoven’s music, featuring his Triple Concerto.
This collaboration has been a source of deep enjoyment for all of us, and we’re so excited to have it documented in this way.
This unique concerto is a musical rarity: in form, spirit and its reliance on true teamwork. It is the perfect gift, allowing us to celebrate our friendship and combined stories of music-making in the UK.
Following our performance at the Royal Festival Hall last year, we were ready and excited to record together! We have included a selection of Beethoven’s rarely performed Scottish, Irish and Welsh folk songs with the one and only Gerald Finley, accompanying the concerto as a celebration of our combined roots and of our friendship.
A huge thanks too, to Santtu-Matias Rouvali, philharmonia_orchestra and geraldfinleyofficial for helping us bring the music to life.
